Module 6 Lab

Here is my first map of Percentage change of population by State. This lab was very hard. I am having a difficult time learning to use Adobe Illustrator. This lab was educational but it took me a while to figure everything out.

Here is my second map which is broken down by Census divisions. I had a lot of trouble with my labels or states moving around unlocked to each other. I need to better learn how to use the group and lock features of AI.

Module 3 Lab

Four Data Classification Maps

Most Appropriate Map - Quantile
I believe the Quantile map is the most appropriate data classification for the percentage of blacks in Escambia County. I believe it is the most appropriate because it best portrays the data along the number line. Also, compared to the other data classification maps, the Quantile map is the most user friendly for visually displaying the percentage differences within the County.

Module 1: Bad Map Example

This is an example of a bad map. This map is bad because there is no reference to what the numbers represent. Therefore, the purpose of the map is also unclear.
