2009 Mean ACT Scores and Participation Rates
I had fun with the final project and utilized both what I have learned in Arcview as well as Adobe Illustrator.

I chose an area in the northern tip of Huron County in Michigan. The location is just between Port Austin and Port Hope. I focused on finding areas based on the following criteria:
1) Greatest average wind speeds
2) Available land facing water than can be developed with minimal cost
3) Proximity to dwellings and residential areas

Wind Speed: 7.5 m/s at 80 m above ground. 7.5 m/s seemed to be the max amount in this area with the majority falling more between 6 m/s and 7 m/s. Source: AWS Truewind, LLC
Orithology: Should not affect bird migration patterns but futher research is needed.

Noise: This area is away from developed regions of the County. It is within close proximity (618 ft) however there is plenty of land to situate the turbines in such a way to minimize noise impact.

Shadow Flicker: Shadow flicker effect will occur along the minor road but the flicker effect will be reduced based on the distance buffer with the major road.

Shipping Impact: Should not affect shipping, while positioned between two ports, the trade between those two ports should be minimized since they are within such close proximity.

Landscape and Visual Impact: Region is undeveloped with mostly farm land. The impact on landscape will be minimal.
